    Session Notes:

I’m concentrating on climbing out of the hole for the month and I’m genuinely concerned about the games and how they are changing. The pots are smaller and people are making smaller mistakes and less mistakes in general.

I talked to another pro who says I need to study more and get better at no-limit. He says no-limit is like chess and is a very complex game. He’s missing the point I’m trying to make.

It’s not going to matter how good a player you are if the games are full of players who don’t make mistakes. Then it becomes luck of the draw. And I’m concerned about 3-5 years from now. I’m concerned about the combination of the recession and people getting more experienced playing no-limit hold’em.

The Florida trip is on my mind too. I’m trying to figure that out also.

    7:00 AM START …..

    9:00 AM QUIT ….

You’re supposed to play longer when you are running good because other people are stuck and more inclined to go on tilt and make mistakes but —- I have to balance that with how I feel when I’m losing for the month. The first thing I want to do is get out of hole. It messes with my equilibrium. My mental state. I get depressed and can’t concentrate and have a tendency to just wanna escape by watching movies. I lose focus on my other projects. So with that in mind I took the profit.

I know if I got in a hand and gave it back I would feel like crap.

the games are always going to meet mistakes. you should always be able to find an edge getting the money and yes the games will get harder. just is the 1 2 games has gotten vastly more difficult to stack fish. whens last time you saw someone get it all in pre with a AJ …it just doesn’t happen anymore. yes you have to come to find your edge in other ways yes the players going to get better. the ppl in the game r going to get to know you better too.
